We’re getting ready to say “goodbye winter, hello spring” and as it has become tradition, in Jozi we do that with festivals. Joy of Jazz was this passed weekend, Arts Alive starts next week but in case you haven’t realised we’re in the middle of the first ever Jo’burg Inner City Festival.

Yes, Jo’burg now has an Inner City Festival. A series of events in the inner city, the CBD that are meant to showcase, our talent, invigorate and show off the inner city as a place.
Since we’re a bookish company we are bringing books and writers to the Inner City Festival. Black Letter Media is hosting a poetry and book reading at Cramers Coffee shop (29 August, 5pm to 7pm). We’ll be showcasing poets and writers we’ve featured in our second Poetry Potion print quarterly – Every Generation – and our short story collection – The Short Story is Dead, Long Live the Short Story.
Jo join us with poets and writers: Treasure Ngobese, Saurell Boyers, Raymond Mupatapanja, HotnyHaze
Come on over! We’ll also have a Book Lover’s Market pop up shop.
See you there.
